International House Museum Days

The Maison Jean Monnet is delighted to participate in the first edition of the International House Museum Days dedicated to the homes of memory and personalities.

Organized by the National Association of Case della Memoria (Florence, Italy), and in collaboration with the International Council of Museums committees DEMHIST (International Committee for Historic House Museums) and ICLCM (International Committee for Literary and Composers' Museums), this event aims to promote historic houses internationally.

For the International House Museum Days, the Jean Monnet House offers a program that explores both the latest developments in our understanding of the figure and work of Jean Monnet and his pivotal role in global governance throughout the 20th century.

The Jean Monnet House's program for the International House Museum Days:

5 April at 3pm

"Jean Monnet: The Keys to a Life." Public discussion with Gérard Bossuat, Professor Emeritus at the University of Cergy-Pontoise, Jean Monnet ad personam Chair, and author of the recently published book The Mystery of Jean Monnet.

6 April at 3pm

"A statesman for the world: Jean Monnet and the milestones of a changing international system." Guided tour of the permanent exhibition at the home of the Father of Europe, led by Martí Grau, Head of Service of the European Parliament at the Jean Monnet House and curator of the site.
