The easiest way to get here is by car or by bus.
There is no public transport directly to the Jean Monnet House.
A bus line (No 5) from the railway station at Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines (‘Bois Mareil’ or ‘Bazoches Eglise’ bus stop) passes the entrance to the village around 1.5 km from the museum.
It will take around two hours to reach the museum by public transport from Paris.
The nearest SNCF railway station (Villiers - Neauphle - Pontchartrain) is 6 km away. You can walk to the Jean Monnet House from this station, but it is several kilometres along a busy road which is not suitable for pedestrians.
If the roads are not busy, the drive from the Porte d’Auteuil will take around 45 minutes.
There are no covered bike racks, but bicycles can be left in the park.
There are a number of parking spaces near the Jean Monnet House for cars and coaches. They are signposted.
However, space is limited (30 to 40 spaces for cars and two coach spaces).
Please let us know in advance if you will be coming by coach or with more than 10 cars.
There are no restaurants or shops in Bazoches-sur-Guyonne. If you want to eat here, please bring a picnic.
You can eat outdoors. There are a number of picnic areas in the park.
Note: in the event of bad weather, if the conference room is occupied there will be nowhere to take shelter in the park.
It is not permitted to bring food and drinks into the museum.
No, there are no lockers. However, there are places where you can safely leave your bags. Just ask at the reception desk.
Yes, taking photos is allowed.
However, if you intend to use or publish the images, please contact the team at the Jean Monnet House so as to be sure of complying with the rules on copyright and image rights.
Currently this is not possible.
The Jean Monnet House can, however, accommodate Europe-oriented, non-partisan civic events free of charge (contact us).
